Artist's Comments

A while ago I made reference to a wonderful tutorial written by dA's very own FoxFires;

[link]

It was featured in issue 45 of Advanced Photoshop magazine and I 'think' can still be found via their website;

[link]

I found the tutorial to be absolutely invaluable - it enabled me to let rip on the colour front (and oh boy did I!) which I'd previously been a little nervous about, and inspired me to then go on and experiment with colour and texture in compositions such as 'Cloudbusting.'

This was the end result. All mistakes (such as the lace not properly lining up on the dress) are of my own making!

This is SOOO fun to see!! I rarely get to see the product of my tutorials, and this really made my day. Aren't working with those colors fun?? You did a wonderful job!

I am this very evening writing a new tutorial for AP. :D It will be in Issue 51 - and will hopefully give people some more fun bells and whistles to try on their stuff!

Hey that's pretty cool :)
However, you should also credit the stock artists, when you do a photomanipulation. For example, the two globes you used, as well as that thing on the girl's right eye are from my stock packs :) => [link] and [link]

There are two reasons why you should always credit the stock artists: first, it's respectful, and it's the least you can do to thank all those people that took the time to create and upload stock pictures so YOU can make your own art. Then, because many of us like to see what the artists did with our stock packs, and are ready to link back to the artworks :)

So I'll add a link to your deviation in both my artist comments on the respective stock pack pages. Congrats, this is a good art :)

Thank you for your valid comments and my apologies if I appear to have offended you in any way. It really wasn't my intention to have done so.

I have a very well used stock account here myself [link] which I provide in order to 'give back' something to the community and as such am aware of the protocol surrounding stock photos - unfortunately in this instance, I didn't have all the information surrounding the stockists to hand when I uploaded my work, so tried to credit them via my links to both FoxFires and to magazine from which the tutorial was provided itself.
